An Unexpected Way To Learn Bike Balance

If you've ever wanted to learn how to trackstand (balance your bike in place without putting your feet down), this video will give you everything you need to lock it in.

Truthfully, I've taught this skill for a while, but it wasn't until this video that I mentally unlocked the best way to teach it. Learning how to isolate the backwards roll is such a huge part of the trackstand, because the main motion is rolling the bike back and forth under you. Up until now, I focused on the solid object and leaning into that to get confidence. Now I realize that I should have been focused on the hips and rollback, because that's actually the most important part of the track stand.
